I have a cat. His name is Krishna. I bought him from an old woman.
The old woman was a witch. She had taught him to speak. I learned about this by
chance. I was learning English when my cat began to speak:
- You have been learning English for many years. Why do you torment yourself?
I am surprised.
- Can you speak?
- Yes, I can.
- Why didn't you tell me?
- I told you, but you didn't hear me.

Cat story (8)
- Look at this. I wrote a poem, - my cat said one morning.
I love little pussy,
Her coat is so warm,
And if I don’t hurt her,
She’ll do me no harm.
So I‘ll not pull her tail,
Nor drive her away,
But pussy and I
Very gently will play:
She shall sit by my side,
And I’ll give her some food;
And pussy will love me
Because I am good.
- Hem! It seems that I read it in the English-child-book. It's a plagiarism. Isn't it? - I commented.
- So what? The English children won't know about it, - he lighted his pipe and chuckled away in silence. - Because in Russian this poem is entitled "A Cat Love Story".

Cat story (3)
I was busy all day and came home late. The house was unusual quiet. It was strange. I went into the room. Everything was upside down here. I was shocked. My stay-at-home cat sat with an I-don't-care look and read a book.
- What are you doing? - I shouted.
- I am learning English. - he said with perfect calm.
